SRC Announces Leadership Promotions at Genie Recon and NewStream Enterprises
SRC Holdings Corp. is proud to announce internal leadership promotions at two of its subsidiaries, Genie Recon and NewStream Enterprises (NSE), effective May 1, 2026.
Chris Merrifield, President of Genie Recon
Chris Merrifield, General Manager of NSE, is transitioning to the role of president of Genie Recon, SRC Holdings Corp.’s newest subsidiary.
Merrifield has 40+ years of experience in the logistics and industrial industries including leadership of distribution at Whole Foods Market. He joined NSE in 2017 and took on increasingly challenging roles before being promoted to General Manager in 2024. In his time at NSE, Merrifield led the team to increase operational capacity by 24% and efficiency by 30%. Chris also played a key role in the initial launch and organizational design of Genie Recon and utilized NSE administration resources to support the startup.
Merrifield holds a certification in business administration from Cornell University and is a Certified Internal Great Game of Business Coach.
“It has been very fulfilling to watch everyone at NSE grow and excel, and I’m confident their future will be very bright,” said Merrifield. “I am excited to join the Genie team. They’re a very strong, talented group, and I look forward to supporting their continued success.”
Rex Wright, General Manager of NewStream Enterprises
Rex Wright, Director of Supply Chain of NSE, has been promoted to general manager of NSE.
Wright has 20+ years of industry experience – 15 of which have been spent within NSE where Wright was hired as a production operator. Upon completing his degree, he served numerous different roles in operations and supply chain before taking on his current role in 2024. In his time as director of supply chain, Wright played a key role in rebuilding relationships with NSE’s largest customer and in the development of NSE’s wireless production landscape.
Wright has a bachelor’s degree in business from Evangel University, holds a certification in planning and inventory management from the Association for Supply Chain Management, and is currently working towards his Internal Great Game of Business Coach certification. Wright also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hope Foundation.
“I’m excited to step into this role and take on the responsibility that comes with it,” said Wright. “With the strength of the NewStream team and the way we show up for each other, I’m confident we’ll keep raising the bar and building something great together.”
Ryan Carroll, Director of Supply Chain of NewStream Enterprises
Ryan Carroll, Materials Manager at NSE, has been promoted to director of supply chain of NSE.
Since joining NSE in 2014, Carroll has taken on key roles in materials and supply chain before his promotion to materials manager in 2020. Carroll has played an instrumental role in supporting growth and the successful launch of new customers.
Carroll holds a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in hospitality and restaurant management and is currently participating in SRC’s Elevate program, which is designed to prepare associates for more challenging leadership roles.
