SRC Named A Best Evergreen Company by Tugboat Institute

SRC Holdings Corp. is excited to announce that it has been honored in Tugboat Institute’s Best Evergreen Companies list for the second year in a row. The award recognizes leading companies for their long-term impact in society.

SRC received the award at the Tugboat Institute Summit in June alongside a diverse group of 25 evergreen companies including Edward Jones, Enterprise Mobility, Radio Flyer and more. Tugboat defines evergreen companies as purpose-driven organizations with the grit and resourcefulness to build market-leading businesses that make a long-term difference in the world.

Recipients were selected based on a deep dive into practices across Tugboat’s 7 principles: purpose, perseverance, people first, private, profit, paced growth and pragmatic innovation.

Since its founding in 1983, SRC’s open-book culture centered on associate education, empowerment and engagement has been the foundation for its success, which is seen in the wealth it has generated. Over its history, SRC has grown steadily, paying out millions to its employee-owners who have retired or left the company. SRC is owned by its associates through an employee stock ownership plan, or ESOP, a mechanism for sharing company wealth with those who create it.

“This recognition reflects the dedication of our employee-owners and their commitment to building a company that lasts,” said Tim Stack, President of SRC Holdings Corp. “At SRC, we believe in creating long-term value – not just for associates, but for the communities we serve.”
